About Whitney
Whitney started out baking cakes at a young age with her Aunt Karen, who is a well-known cake designer in Nebraska. It was not until high school when she realized that cake decorating was her calling in life. The passion for baking is in her genes.
Whitney attended Johnson and Wales University in Denver Colorado for four years. She graduated with an A.S. in Baking and Pastry Arts and a B.S. in Food Service Management. She worked at Whole Foods for two years as the lead candy maker; developing new recipes, and creating both chocolate and sugar displays. She also worked at The Worthington Hotel in Fort Worth as the Pastry Lead. During her time there, she competed in the Oklahoma Sugar Show wedding cake competition, achieving honorable mention for her “Mary Poppin’s” themed cake.
Whitney has been creating wedding and party cakes for seven years and enjoys giving individual attention to each couple or indivdual with personal consultations and tastings. The excitement she has when assisting a couple in finding their perfect cake is the driving force behind her business.
Company History
Formerly Delicate Bites for seven years: Calling All Cakes was developed when Whitney moved the business from Denver Colorado to North Central Texas. What started as a part time venture has turned into a passion for Whitney. She loves the one on one interaction with each person.
